The Story Unknown
Majority of the pieces featured in my photography have been staples in my home for over decades, each one having a story, a story unknown. Many people live their lives without questioning their physical environment surrounding them, particularly objects. Imagine if you were able to glance at anything and just with that one look have the ability to know it's past and beginnings. In some cases we are able to have a little bit of history and a description of a piece of work, but as years go by we start to question what we know to actually be true. You will look at these images and have no I idea what you're really looking at. You may see a figurine of a horse’s head, but ask yourself who made this figurine? Where did they make it? How many people owned it before my family owned it? The more questions you ask, the bigger the story becomes and the more you allow yourself to imagine.
